A Wild and Rustic Wedding at Saddlerock Ranch
Every now and then, I get to shoot at a venue that's just so special I say that I'd be perfectly happy if I shot there every single weekend. Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu is one of those places--I could never get sick of shooting there! I mean, how could you possibly get bored with a property that has acres and acres of lush, rolling hills, old trees forming a perfect archway, and zebras. Yes, I said ZEBRAS.
Caroline and Robin were just as enamored with Saddrock as I was, based on the fact that they had their wedding there. It's a perfect location for a romantic day, which is exactly what Caroline and Robin had.

A cute little escort card table adorned with tons of white vases and babies breath flowers:

I really hope babies breath makes a HUGE comeback--I'd LOVE to see a huge bouquet of it, and lots of arrangements like this!

A nod to the venue and the couples' love of wine:

What's better than a Vera Wang? A Vera Wang hung from a tree!

Caroline preparing:

Prada:

A little country touch:

Caroline wore her traditional gown for their first look, then changed into her wedding dress before the ceremony.

I loved getting to shoot Caroline in this spectacular gown (and Robin wasn't bad either) :)

Just gorgeous:

White peonies look and smell delicious!

Caroline & some of the ladies in her family--the colors are just amazing!

This amazing opal ring with diamonds surrounding it was a gift:

Robin and the boys:

Oh, I forgot to mention that Saddlerock has a antique carousel?

Caroline getting into her gown:

A toast with the girls!

A perfect blue sky day for the ceremony:

Roses, hydrangea, and branches, oh my!

The processional begins:

Just about the CUTEST children you've ever seen in a wedding:

Omg. Really??

These boys were AMAZING! I love their sign and the expression on the little guy!

Seriously, stop it.

Here comes the bride!

Seeing a father at the end of the aisle with his daughter is one of my favorite parts of a wedding:

But now it's Robins' turn:

A little laugh:

A little black and white:

Rings:

Off to put the wine in their specially made box. What a cool thing to incorporate into your wedding!

I picture them opening this on some anniversary, years from now...

Hugging mama:

One last prayer:

Off they go!

This bridal party was so cute and so much fun!

But what I really loved was shooting Caroline & Robin:

I could have shot these two all day:

Hi Zebra!

Pretty as a picture:

Seriously. They need to frame this in a frame that looks just like that frame!

Beautiful light:

One more:

Okay, maybe a few more:

A door leading nowhere? Why can't I just move into this venue?!

Time for the reception! Pick a direction--looks like things are good whichever way you go:

Thumbprint guest book--super cool:

Deliciousness:

More deliciousness:

A lovely little arrangement:

Long tables are perfect for laughter and conversation:

Just in case you try to steal their seats :)

Is there any better atmosphere for a dinner party?!

Here we go!

First dance:

Exchanging gifts--a watch for min, a ring for her:

Toasts:

My favorite part of any wedding is the cake:

Father/daughter, mother/son:

A sign of a great couple--when they take the time to thank all the people who came to share their special day:

Caroline and Robin, your day was so special and unforgettable. Every moment I spent with you was such a pleasure! Enjoy married life!!
