I LOVE marriage! Weddings are wonderful, but after the wedding is the best part--getting to be married to your love and sharing your lives together. My husband is named Jeff, and he is really one of the nicest people I've ever met and my better half for sure. He's hilarious, clever, and always up for an adventure! Everyone that knows him would agree that he's just an all-around great guy. Marrying him was the smartest thing I've ever done, no question.
My grandmother taught me how to play poker as a kid, and we play at most of my family gatherings. I've always loved it, but I really got hooked a few years ago, and since then, it has become one of my favorite hobbies! I've played in the World Series of Poker twice (don't worry, I won't share my bad beat stories here!), and will hopefully be back there for revenge sometime soon. For now, I play with friends in a league as well as in the local tournament and cash scene when I get a chance. I sure do love to play (but especially, to win)!
I'm so blessed to have the most adorable two little boys on the planet (and no, I'm not biased at all). Locke (3) and Archer (2) are just the cutest little muffins who add so much joy to my life! Plus, they add endless comedic charm to almost any situation. Parenthood is the most challenging, amazing, exhausting job I'll ever have and I love (almost) every second of it.
One of the things that Jeff and I LOVE to do is to seek out the best or most interesting restaurants in every city we visit. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for us to plan an entire day or vacation around eating. Although I'm not as adventurous an eater as I'd like to be, I will try most things at least once or twice, and the more interesting the experience the better!
Ever since I was a child, traveling and exploring has been my passion. I am so so lucky to have a job that allows me to see the world. Some of my favorite places that I've been to photograph weddings are Greece (Santorini), Moscow, and Hawaii. But some of the most interesting places I've traveled for fun are Istanbul, Sweden, and Brazil. There's literally no destination too far or too obscure for me to want to go there!
The above photo is a joke (I was not a fan of the Twilight/Vampire craze), but the fact that I love reading is not. I read in every spare moment I get, although there haven't been as many of those lately! I was an English major in college, and I like reading everything from historical fiction to sci-fi, to thrillers. Some of my favorites are Pillars of the Earth, The Poisonwood Bible, The Night Circus, and Where'd You Go Bernadette?.
I am literally OBSESSED with my beautiful Old English Sheepdog, Acey! She's SUCH a good girl, really the best dog you could ever ask for. There was never a sweeter being on the planet, she is pure love.
You know what thrills me? Beautiful light and clean spaces with pops of color. Also houses with large playrooms where you can hide all evidence of children, but that's a topic for another day. Really though, I'm a huge fan of well designed objects and spaces, and if I had endless time, money, and space, I would decorate and redecorate until my dying day :)
This is embarrassing but I seriously LOVE trash tv. I like good TV too, but I can't get enough of the gross, reality, junk shows like The Bachelor, Sister Wives, 19 Kids and Counting...you name it and I'm probably all caught up on it. My excuse is that I have it on in the background while I edit photos, but if we're being honest here (and if you're still reading these blurbs you deserve honesty), I really do care about it all.

Jessica Claire photography is one of my favorite photographers to work with! Her work is stunning in every way. Jessica Norwood is professional and wonderful to work with. Her photographs are simply timeless and every couple who has worked with her, has loved their experience with her and of course their wedding photos.
// LAUREN & STEVE
I was referred to Jessica through a professional photographer friend (which speaks volumes in and of itself). All it took was a little research for me to quickly realize that she's one of the best in the field. And after getting a sense of her personality and process over the phone, I was sold. Despite the fact that she was on the opposite coast and our wedding was in another country, Jessica was the only photographer I would consider to capture our wedding - and I'm so glad that she did! Jessica was creative, flexible, efficient and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated that from the initial stages of planning through to the final album choices, she offered insight and advice from her vast experience while still being flexible and open to our ideas and preferences. And my husband appreciated that she made our portrait session quick and painless!

A lot of photographers get the shot. To make a real impact it takes more than that.....Jessica's perceptive technique and her eye for style combine with her understanding of lighting and post production to record sharp and timeless memories.
//MAAJED & TAHAANE ABAHSAYN
Jessica has an absolute mastery of light. She is always able to capture a stunning image – even in less than perfect conditions. She has an innate ability to put you at ease, making the shoot seem effortless… and the outcome breathtaking.
// JOANNA & ADAM NAGATA
I chose Jessica Claire before I chose my husband. I trust her completely and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. She is the perfect combination of relaxed, fun, funny, confident, direct, and unfailingly professional. I treasure all the photos we have from her--from our engagement session, to our rehearsal dinner, to our wedding, to our newborn shoot!
// DEBBIE & BRENT
Jessica was a consummate professional, her photographs were flawless, and her vision for our wedding (and the most beautiful way to capture our day) was impeccable. She made us feel at ease throughout the day and organized our family, friends and guests without hesitation in order to make the most of her time with us. We remarked at her use of lighting (both natural and interior), the framing of each photograph and the overall composition of each photograph. Above all else, Jessica is a wonderful person and we absolutely adore her!
